In 2005, the Diemer's decided to pursue the Boer Goat industry.  They purchased a few does and attended a couple of shows. Now they have expanded their herd and upgraded to some of the best quality genetics, and have shown all around the United States.

Not only do the Diemer's have quality does and bucks, they are also members of the American Boer Goat Association, the International Boer Goat Association, Illinois Meat Goat Producers, and the Iowa Meat Goat Association.

Kim and Kathie farm 1200 acres of corn and bean crop, raise feeder cattle, and custom feed isowene pigs.  Since 1975, Kim has owned and operated his own business spreading Ag-Lime and road rock.

Katie attends Iowa State University and is majoring in agricultural education with a minor in animal science. At school she is active in Agricultural Education club and Block & Bridle.  Katie enjoys showing, fitting, genetics, teaching others about the industry, and helping kids.  She also judges many county fairs in Iowa, Minnesota, and Illinois. 

Not only does Katie show Boer goats but she also is a member of the American Driving Society where she competes and shows carriage horses. She is also a member of the American Quarter Horse Association where she shows halter, western and english pleasure, barrel races, does pole bending and other timed events.
